FAQ Navigating Your Behavioral Health Journey
Choosing the right partner for behavioral health is a significant decision. At Caprock Behavioral Solutions, we want to ensure you have all the information necessary to feel confident in your choice. Whether you are curious about ABA therapy, our Adult Day Program, or how we handle Insurance and Payment, we have compiled these answers to help guide you.
General Therapy Questions
What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated approach to understanding behavior and how it is affected by the environment. At Caprock, we use these principles to increase functional skills—like communication and social interaction—while decreasing behaviors that may interfere with learning or safety.
What ages do you serve?
We provide a continuum of care across the lifespan. Our services range from early intervention for toddlers in our Clinic-Based and In-Home programs to life-skills support for adults in our Adult Day Program.
Do I need a diagnosis to start services?
To utilize health insurance for ABA therapy, most providers require a formal diagnosis (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder) from a Physician or specialized psychologist. However, we are happy to discuss private pay options or guide you through the diagnostic process.
Logistics & Support
How many hours of therapy will my child need?
Every plan is individualized. After a comprehensive assessment by one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), we will recommend a weekly hourly target based on your child’s specific needs and goals.
Can we do a mix of home and clinic sessions?
Absolutely. Many families benefit from a "hybrid" model, utilizing the structure of the clinic for intensive skill-building and In-Home Services for natural environment generalization.
