Dana Daniel is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of the Lubbock Autism Academy. Dana received her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech University in 2000 and her Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2006. Dana completed her BCBA certification from the University of North Texas in 2010, and she has over 13 years of experience working with individuals with special needs.

Jeremy Daniel is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of the Lubbock Autism Academy. Jeremy received his MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2014. Prior to joining the Lubbock Autism Academy, Jeremy was a teacher and coach at several high schools across Texas. Jeremy also has experience working with non-profit organization in several administrative positions. Currently, Jeremy is very involved with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and is a Team Lead with Hub City BBQ Committee

Program Director of First Steps

Maleney received her Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies at Texas Tech University in 1994. She received her Master’s Degree in Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism in 2014. Malaney taught for Plainview ISD for 5 years and Olton ISD for 15 years. She has taught elementary age children in general education and special education classrooms. Malaney joined the Lubbock Autism Academy full-time in 2016 as a BCBA. Malaney became Program Director of the Early Childhood Division in November of 2020.

Dianna "Jeanne" Terry, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA

Program Director of LEAP and CLIMB

Jeanne attended Texas Tech and received her Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education in 1987, and her Master’s degree in Special Education in 1991. Jeanne completed her BCBA certification with Texas Tech University, and she has worked with special needs children for 30 years. She taught for 8 years with Lubbock ISD and 22 years with Slaton ISD. Jeanne joined the Lubbock Autism Academy part-time in 2015, and full-time in 2017. Jeanne became Program Director of the School Aged Division in November 2020.

Program Director of Permian Basin Autism Academy and In-Home

Mikayla received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education in 2012 and her Master’s Degree in Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2018 from Texas Tech University. Mikayla has experience teaching PPCD and 4th/5th grade reading resource in her home town of Lamesa, Texas and 4th grade reading inclusion in Seminole, Texas. Mikayla’s passion for autism began when she was 10 years old and her younger cousin was diagnosed at an early age. She joined the Lubbock Autism Academy in 2017 where she advanced her career from a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), to a Behavior Analyst in Training (BAIT), to a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Karlee Barker

Clinic Operations Director

Karlee was raised in Abernathy, TX and relocated to Lubbock, TX in 2010. Karlee was a Paraprofessional in Special Education for Kindergarten through 2 grade for a total of 5 years. She joined the Lubbock Autism Academy team in the summer of 2018 as a Behavior Technician. Karlee advanced from a Behavior Technician to a Registered Behavior Technician in less than a year and continued to grow through Caprock BehavioralSolutions. She later transitioned into Clinical Administration Technician (CAT) and soon became the Training Coordinator. Karlee has a passion for teaching and helping children reach their potential. She dedicates her time to training and helping individuals improve their ABA skills. In her spare time, Karlee enjoys spending time with her daughter and being involved in her church community.

Amanda Haygood

Amanda Haygood

Director of Human Resources

Amanda received her Bachelor’s Degree in University Studies in 2013 from Texas Tech University and her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration in 2015 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Amanda has previously worked at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center working in Student Business Services and as an accounting specialist at Goodwill Industries. Amanda joined Caprock Behavioral Solutions in April 2022. In Amanda’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
